Contact store log files getting very big!

  • Under the install directory (normally c:\program files\witness\) there is a directory called “properties”
  • In there look for a file called “csipo.properties”
  • If not, create the file and put this line of text there:
  • log.level=WARN
  • Save and close file
  • Then reboot server or restart the ContactStore service and the log files should stop being an issue.

Message Waiting indication light not working after upgrade to MCD6.0

  • When you press the MWI button it lo longer rings voice mail
  • Screen says “Not allowed”
  • Known fault on MCD 6.0. Should have been fixed in SP1
  • Work around: programme the voicemail hunt group number in to form “Call Coverage Services”
  • Choose Call coverage number 1, “Voice Mail” tab, enter voice mail hunt group number
  • Set the user to use “Call coverage services” number one
  • this can be found under “User and Devices” / “Service Details” at the bottom

Fixed in MCD 6.0 SP1

Upgrading spectralink phones + info

  • If you have a spectrlink cradle it makes it a lot easier
  • Use this software with the cradle to programme the phones
  • You will also need a TFTP server, I use Solarwinds, download from here SolarWindsTFTP or use (My mirror)
  • Tell the software which comms port the cradle is plugged into and fill in the needed fields
  • If you are just upgrading all you will need is:
  • IP address of phone, Subnet of network, IP address of TFTP server, Wireless SSID and Wep Key.
  • As you can see from the picture you fill this info in on the left handside
  • then copy with right arrow picto copy from left to right panel
  • choose “write to phone”
  • The phone wil then reboot and start looking at the specified IP for these files

CCM miXML wont connect to 3300

  • When your CCM wont connect to your 3300 with miXML you can use DirecttoPBX
  • Stop the Data Synchronization service
  • Open the file prairieFyre.Services.DataSynchronizationService.exe.config
  • C:\Program Files\prairieFyre Software Inc\CCM\Services\DataSynchronizationService
  • Set the value for DirectToPbx to true
  • Stop the Configuration service
  • Open the file ConfigService.exe.config
  • C:\Program Files\prairieFyre Software Inc\CCM\Services\ConfigService
  • Set the value for DirectToPbx to true
