- 5410 handsets are not supported on Ver 8.1 Basic mode
How to upgrade/downgrade with SD card reader
- Note: Upgrading this way will not keep your custom audio files
- Choose “Format IP Office SD card”
- Choose “Recreate IP Office SD card” Choose “Alaw” (for UK)
- BE PATIENT and wait for files to transfer, manager may say not responding
- When it looks like it has finished, wait some more and another transfer will begin
- You know when it it finished when a message of completion pops up
- Dongle number is kept during upgrade/format of SD card
Contact store log files getting very big!
- Under the install directory (normally c:\program files\witness\) there is a directory called “properties”
- In there look for a file called “csipo.properties”
- If not, create the file and put this line of text there:
- log.level=WARN
- Save and close file
- Then reboot server or restart the ContactStore service and the log files should stop being an issue.
How do i reset phone to factory defaults?
- Reset phone=
- While phone booting press * when promted arounf the DHCP disco time
- Press # until you get to command prompt. then press either hold or mute. then type reset# E.G. 73738#
- Type R E S E T on the buttons to reset and C L E A R to clear don’t forget the # on the end
Message Waiting indication light not working after upgrade to MCD6.0
- When you press the MWI button it lo longer rings voice mail
- Screen says “Not allowed”
- Known fault on MCD 6.0. Should have been fixed in SP1
- Work around: programme the voicemail hunt group number in to form “Call Coverage Services”
- Choose Call coverage number 1, “Voice Mail” tab, enter voice mail hunt group number
- Set the user to use “Call coverage services” number one
- this can be found under “User and Devices” / “Service Details” at the bottom

Why do i get “Invalid Set type” on a 5235 teleworker?
- 5235 are supported in teleworker mode, but not in a clustered MBG enviroment
How do i find the IPEI number on a 5602 handset?
- There are a list of Admin short-codes in the manual
- To find the IPEI number dial *#06# even if the handset is not yet registered
