One way audio on diverted calls


Customer reported when they re-route allways off switch the call worked with two way audio. But if the call was diverted using 1st alternative the call always had one way audio

In the wireshark trace of a working and non workign call we can see two differences

Working call shows the divert as “unconditional” and Media attribute : silent supp : off

Non-working call shows divert as “no answer” and instead of silent supp off we have a media option for “inactive”

In the SIP peer profile there is an option to disable the use of “inactive media streams”

Changing this option from no to yes resolved the issue
